Lyon Ingénierie Projets (LIP) is a SME, located in Villeurbanne (France). LIP was created in 2007, and is linked to the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 through a framework agreement. Its main vocation is to support and promote Research activities carried out at the University, at local, national, European, and International level. Independently, LIP also supports any public or private actor in the development of its R&D activities (research projects’ setting up, research project management, administrative and financial support, etc.)

With respect to their research activities, Lyon Ingénierie Projets assists the scientists in many ways:
1- Project setting up
- elaboration in close cooperation with the project coordinator of the technical workplan
- budget calculation
- definition of the consortium management rules, definition of IPR rules
- preparation of the consortium agreement
- negotiation with the European Commission

2- Project management
- management and follow-up of administrative and financial tasks
- permanent contact point for the coordinator and all the partners
- organisation of the meetings
- reports synthesis
- notification to the consortium of due deadlines
- follow up of the project expenses
- follow up of IPR rules

3- Tools
- use of a project collaborative platform:
- availability of all information concerning the project (activities, news, agenda…)
- sharing and storage of documents in a secured way (scientific results, technical and administrative reports, directory…)
- monitoring of the scientific implementation and of the administrative and financial issues…

Lyon Ingénierie Projets is mainly supporting the coordinator in the project management, and is in particular in charge of monitoring scientific aspects, collecting administrative and financial data and preparing reports to the Commission, managing knowledge and intellectual property aspects, and participating to the dissemination of results.
Lyon Ingénierie Projets is also the creator and the webmaster of the MANSiC public website and of the collaborative platform dedicated to the project.
 
Administrative and Financial manager
Magali Bayssière joined Lyon Ingénierie Projets in May 2007, as European project officer, responsible for the development and management of collaborative European projects. Magali Bayssière obtained a MSc. in Comparative Political science at the Université Aix-Marseille III . From 2003 to 2007, she worked as a Project Expert at the Technical Secretariat of the European Interreg III “ESPON” Programme, in Luxembourg, under the tutorship of the Ministry of interior of Luxembourg and where she gained and in-depth knowledge of the European Administration and Institutions, administrative and financial rules governing European research projects, project evaluation and management.
